This year's celebration of our history & heritage will feature a full day of activities & exhibits for the community & visitors. Again this year, we are raising funds to complete a permanent tribute to the 3000+ veterans and community service personnel from Jonesville & surrounding communities. Names will be posted on railings from the Hugh Chatham Bridge that are located in Mineral Springs Park.

In addition to sponsorships & individual donations, a silent auction of merchandise from local businesses (shops, wineries, restaurants, hotels, etc.) will be held in the Senior Center from 11 am to 2 pm. Also in the Senior Center will be displays of historic relics, local authors, art & crafts.

The 5K begins at 8:30 am (late registration at 8 am) for the third annual Brushy Mountain 5K Race/Walk. Register by April 28 to receive a T-shirt and gift pack. The first three finishers in each age division will receive medals (for those who prefer a faster pace)! Refreshments will be provided for participants. See application for details. The 5K is coordinated by Moms RUN this Town. Yadkin County Sheriff Dept., Jonesville Police Dept. and Arlington Fire & Rescue will assist with traffic control and safety.

5K run/walk & Vendor/Exhibitor applications are at links above -- make copies for your family, friends & neighbors. Join the fun and/or reserve a space!

Local entertainers this year will be announced later.

Arts & Crafts sales, individual flea market/rummage vendors, homebased businesses, exhibitors, demonstrations & food sales will be set up around the bandstand and shelter. Weather permitting, sky divers will arrive before noon. There will also be a car show & bouncy games (from 2 - 4 pm). A special fun ride for kids is scheduled for the afternoon. A Jonesville vs Arlington "Old Timers Softball Game" will be a new event this year. Fireworks, sponsored by the Town & the Tourism Board, will begin at "dark-thirty."

Need more applications? They're at the Town Hall, the History Center, the Senior Center or call 336-835-0077.
